Challenge

When KSV Diksmuide merged with KV Oostende to form KV Diksmuide-Oostende, two proud football communities became one. But the old website only represented Oostende. The new club needed a digital platform that united both communities, served members and sponsors equally, shared news and match information seamlessly, and showcased their strong youth academy (#butterbiedevis). A platform where supporters from Diksmuide to Oostende all feel at home.

Approach

We designed and developed a custom WordPress platform bringing Diksmuide and Oostende supporters together. The custom match calendar module gives the club complete control over fixtures and results. Sponsor integration creates value and visibility. A dedicated youth academy subdomain highlights their talent pipeline. We incorporated a supporter-designed logo, symbolizing true community collaboration. Every feature serves the entire KVDO family: members discovering training schedules, sponsors finding exposure, supporters following match results, and the youth academy shining as the club’s future.

Result

A platform where two communities became one. The website equally represents Diksmuide and Oostende, giving every supporter a digital home. Custom match calendar functionality streamlines club operations. Sponsor integration creates new revenue opportunities. The youth academy subdomain showcases future talent. Most importantly: KVDO now has a digital presence as united as the club itself, bringing supporters, members, and sponsors together under one digital roof.

It took a while but then we didn't want to offer just a ready-made page but really a website that exudes professionalism. And I think we succeeded. A fresh, modern 'look', combined with simplicity and user-friendliness.
