Website Design That doesn't look like everyone else's
Templates are everywhere. Stock photos are everywhere. Generic layouts are everywhere. Your business isn’t generic, why should your website be? We create distinctive designs that capture what makes you different and turn that into a digital experience people actually remember.
Why most websites look the same (and why yours shouldn't)
Open ten competitor websites. Count how many use the same layout. The same structure, the same stock imagery, the same “modern” aesthetic that stopped feeling modern three years ago.Copying what works is safe. But safe doesn’t build brands. Safe doesn’t make people choose you over competitors. Safe doesn’t justify premium pricing or create the perception that you’re the obvious choice.

The real cost of template-based design
You blend into noise
You can't express your brand
You limit future growth
Your competitors use the same template
Your brand has a story, a personality, a reason people should care. Generic design buries that story under convention. Custom design brings it to life.
Our website design process
Discovery & strategy
Understanding your business
This isn’t a questionnaire you fill out alone. It’s collaborative sessions where we challenge assumptions, identify positioning opportunities, and define what success looks like. The insights from discovery determine every design decision that follows.
Concept Development
Explore visual directions
Concepts show homepage designs in realistic detail, demonstrating layout structure, typography systems, color application, and visual hierarchy. You see how your brand could look before we commit to a direction.
Design system creation
Complete visual system
This systematic approach ensures visual coherence across all pages while enabling efficient development. Designers and developers work from the same source of truth.

When you need custom website design
Templates might work if:
- You're launching an MVP and design isn't your primary risk
- You're operating in a commodity market where only price matters
- You have extreme budget constraints and need something functional immediately
- Your audience genuinely doesn't care about design quality
- Your site has very simple, linear user flows with few decision points
You need custom design if:
- Your brand positioning is premium and needs to look it
- You're in a competitive market where differentiation matters
- Your business model requires unusual functionality or content structures
- You're launching something new and want to make a strong impression
- Your current site actively undermines your credibility
- You have specific user journeys that templates can't accommodate
- You need to communicate complex offerings clearly
- Your audience expects excellence and generic won't cut it
Questions about website design
Depends on scope. Simple sites might need 3-4 weeks for design. Complex projects could require 8-12 weeks. We provide timeline estimates in proposals.
We design platform-agnostically in Figma. Designs can be built in any platform. We typically recommend WordPress for flexibility but adapt to your needs.
We share progress throughout. Weekly check-ins for larger projects, milestone reviews for smaller ones. You’re never surprised at the end.
Concepts show different directions. If none resonate, we explore why and develop new approaches. Most projects include 2-3 concept rounds before committing to a direction.
We art-direct imagery, showing what types of photos work, but don’t typically include stock photo licensing in design quotes. We can source and purchase imagery as additional service.
Typically 2-3 rounds at each major milestone (concepts, components, pages). Significant direction changes may require additional investment.
Technically yes, but not recommended. Homepage design needs to work within broader system. Designing in isolation creates inconsistency.
Development phase begins. We provide technical support during build, conduct design QA, and refine details until launch. Design doesn’t end at handoff.
Website Design vs. UI Design vs. UX Design
Website Design is the comprehensive creative vision, the overall aesthetic direction, page layouts, brand expression, and visual storytelling that makes your site distinctive.
UI Design executes that vision at component level, the specific styling of buttons, forms, navigation, and interactive elements that users directly touch.
UX Design determines the strategy behind the visuals, user flows, information architecture, interaction patterns that make the site functional.
All three work together. Website design sets the creative direction. UX design structures the experience. UI design delivers the details. We offer all three, separately or combined.
